Accessibility Statement

LEGAL

Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone.

Statement created: March 2026

About This Statement

This is the accessibility statement for martinpelham.com, a personal professional portfolio website operated by Martin Pelham. It was prepared in March 2026 using the W3C Accessibility Statement Generator Tool.

Conformance Status

Partially Conformant

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

martinpelham.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. This site is built on Wix Studio, and some accessibility limitations are inherent to the platform rather than within direct control of the site owner.

Known Limitations

While we aim to make this website as accessible as possible, the following limitations are currently known:

  • Some decorative SVG elements may not have appropriate alternative text attributes in all contexts.

  • Wix Studio's mobile navigation components may present challenges for some screen reader configurations.

  • Embedded video content, where present, may not include captions.

We are committed to addressing known limitations and improving accessibility over time.

Technical Approach

martinpelham.com uses the following technologies to support accessibility:

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • WAI-ARIA attributes where applicable

The site is designed to be navigable by keyboard and to work with common screen reader software. Text contrast ratios are designed to meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements across the site's colour palette.
